When Will It Ever End

As if we didn't have enough concerns, Cathy had to take Kayce to the emergency room for severe abdominal pain and nausea and she was subsequently transferred by ambulance to another hospital more suitable for diagnosis and treatment for teens. Some improvement noted but definate diagnosis TBD. We feel so bad to be so far away but Cathy is keeping us updated frequently.

Joy was discharged yesterday so she is trying to recover at our hotel apartment sufficient to make the 893 mile drive home. Other than getting staples removed in two weeks and blood labs Friday she has clinic appointments later this month and several in early December but at this point, she is tired of being stuck, poked, cut and dealing with the multitude of doctors so those trips and appointments are in jeopardy. I can't blame her.

When will it ever end?

Glad to hear Joy has recovered enough to be discharged. Sorry to learn that Kayce has been hospitalized. She will be on our list also.

Dear Joy and Wayne
It is great news that Joy was released on Monday. We hope that the pain and nausea has lessened or better yet gone away. Please rest up for the trip home.
We will pray that Kayce will get better quickly and be waiting for you both in good health when you return home.
Love

Hi, Joy and Wayne! I have been struggling with being able to post a comment for weeks. My computer doesn't work at home, I can't remember my identity. What else is new?! I have been keeping up with you, Joy, and thinking and praying about you all the time. I keep hoping that you will not have to go through any more surgeries and that the pain will subside. I'm so happy to hear that you're eating again. I am anxious to hear how Kayce is doing. I have had lots of stomach issues over the years, as has Dad, Grandma Juna...so she's probably a Bauer in the stomach department. I'm sure they checked out her appendix. You may remember that Ashley was sent home from our emergency room, only to have her appendix rupture the next day. Please keep us posted on everyone's progress. Wayne, hang in there!

Joy & Wayne,

Good to hear you are out of the hospital, Joy. Here's hoping that good things are in store and some sense of normalcy is in the future. You are both truly warriors !!
Stay the course.

Hi Joy and Wayne,
Hello from the Wilson girls (women?), Sherry and Jackie.

Sherry says, "Greetings from your home town. The cows are fine. The dog has a tumor. The cat just got fixed. And I have bronchitis. Wish you were here."

They tore down all the schools in Montpelier and started over. They put all the schools under one roof and now are having to get therapy for the seniors because they are all depressed because they have to go to school with the "babies" in the elementary school and don't have an "identity."

We'll soon be headed for "The Home" so it won't matter to us! Hee hee hee

Jackie went to her class reunion where she tried to lie about her age but since everyone was the same age as her, it made it a little difficult. Everybody was fine but she was struck by how much OLDER they looked than she felt. But then the silly classmates told Jackie she looked just like her mother - good grief -our mother was an old lady with grey hair! How could Jackie look like her?

Glad you've been sprung from the horse-pistol. Take care of yourself and we'll talk to you soon.

We'll keep you on the prayer list. Hugs and much love to you,
J & S
