For the eighth time in a year, Joy was released from the hospital.
She is still experiencing considerable pain and more nausea / vomiting than usual. It is probably wishful thinking to believe either will subside.
So now she recouperates prior to heading back to Duke in mid September. But hey........football will be starting there with a new inspired coach so will see about scheduling her appointments around a game. Actually the appointments are already set and I will have to work those dates around the football game schedule.
Go Blue Devils.
Now what is next?

Hi Joy. Get stronger and enjoy the rest of summer in Illinois. Then maybe you will be ready to attend a game with Wayne. Why should he have all the fun?
Love you,
Sharon
Dear Joy
We just caught up with the news of your operation and that you are now home but having a rough time. We are so sorry that you had to undergo back surgery and pray that the Surgeon's skill will produce relief for you when the trauma of the surgery is gone.
You are continually in our thoughts and prayers.
Love
Kitty and Bill
Dear Joy and Wayne,
I have been negligent about getting on your blog, but Mom and Dad have been filling us in. How are you doing, Joy? I am anxious to hear the latest update. Mom and Dad are in Ohio going to Mom's 55th high school reunion today, but they will come straight back tomorrow even though Mom has to do all of the driving. Dad likes to be home where he has control of the air conditioning, his oxygen tanks, etc. I tried to talk them into staying at the lake for a little vacation, but no luck. I hope things are going better since your last blog.
Love,
Laraine
