If the remaining tests are satisfactory, she may be placed on the active transplant list next week. The transplant doctor feels that it is possible that Joy will receive new lungs by the following weekend, just a few days after going on the list. We talked with several transplant patients in the waiting area today and they are doing fine after one month and a few years out from surgery. We overheard a man talking that he was a ten year survivor. Fantastic!!
Thank you for all of your prayers and support and we will keep you informed.

Hey, Good Buddy! Jackie Wilson Rose here. Sounds like you and I have lousy lungs! I am recovering from pneumonia (three trips to 2 different hospitals). I got to the pulmonary doc tomorrow to see how my lungs are faring. Then Friday I go to the ENT and I'm sure he's going to tell me I need the Roto-rooter surgery. Lovely. Nothing compared to what you're facing. Daughter, Sherry, has a friend who had a bi-lateral lung transplant a few years ago. It scared me when he had it but he's doing fine! Hope yours goes just the same! More later!
Love,
Jackie
